If you can't justify the expense and effort of
owning your own airplane but you're tired of paying outrageous amounts for tired
old FBO rentals, then the Fish Creek Flying Club is for you.
The Fish Creek Flying Club Inc. is a member owned
flying club based at the Cedartown Airport (4A4) in northwest Georgia. Today we
fly four single engine aircraft: 1976 Cessna 172M, a 1973 Cessna 172M, a 1980
Cessna 172-RG (complex), and a 1974 Bellanca Citabria (aerobatic).
Our mission is simple, to provide the opportunity
for our members to fly and improve their skills for the least cost possible. The
fixed costs of owning the airplanes are spread evenly across the members so you
get to own a part of four airplanes for a small fraction of the total cost. The
hourly rates for each airplane are set based on actual operating costs. We
aren't in business to turn a profit renting airplanes so our members fly "at
cost". There is a one time initiation fee of $4500 to purchase 1/40th share of
the corporation (all members are equal shareholders) and the planes rent for
$32.50 (Citabria), $36.00 (172's), and $50.00 (172RG) web. There is also a
monthly fee of $55.00 to cover fixed costs.
Do you want to learn to fly? Then the Fish
Creek Flying Club is for you, too. We welcome student pilots and lots of
people have learned to fly in the Fish Creek Flying Club.
